We will put the shoes back in service, and someone who might otherwise have to spend the winter without a pair of shoes will benefit from your generosity.

History of the Program

The Shoes for the Shoeless program started as a way for shoe repair shops nationwide to do something productive with shoes that had been dropped off for repair but never picked up. We were very successful as a we collected thousands of pairs of shoes to help disaster victims, the homeless and others in need.

In fact, the Shoes for the Shoeless program was so successful that the American Society of Association Executives presented SSIA with an Associations Advance America Award for Excellence for its contribution to the community.

We have expanded the program to reach out to the public. We have combined forces with a branch of the American Red Cross to create a nationwide collection and distribution network.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
